Potato pancakes are shallow-fried pancakes of grated potato, flour and egg, flavoured with grated onion, garlic and seasoning.

Potato pancakes may be topped with a variety of condiments, ranging from the savoury (such as sour cream, mushroom sauce or cottage cheese) to the sweet (such as apple sauce or sugar), or they may be served ungarnished.

Potato pancakes serve them for breakfast, as a main and of course as a side. They can be served soft or a little crispy.

Preparation for Potato Pancakes:

a/ Fresh: Non-stick pan stick to low to medium heat and flip often to promote even heating.

b/ Frozen: Place frozen potato pancakes in a skillet and defrost/heat on the stove top.

Do not add oil nor Pam.

– Reheating in the Microwave is undoubtedly one of the fastest ways to heat or reheat food, but texture of some foods can suffer in the process.

– Reheating on the Stovetop is a great way-stick to low to medium heat and flip often to promote even heating.
